PowerHUB & Sustain4Future: 2026 – The Year of Sustainable Innovations

A sustainable future requires active support, the connection of top talent, and a strong international foundation. We are proud that PowerHUB continues to play a key role in the prestigious European project, Sustainability for Future (S4F). As we enter the next phase in 2026, we are ready to keep pushing the boundaries of sustainable entrepreneurship across Europe.

What is the Sustainability for Future Project?

Funded by the European Commission under the EIT Higher Education Institutions (HEI) Initiative, the S4F project brings together leading European universities and innovation centers to foster sustainable entrepreneurship within academia—directly aligning with the European Green Deal.

The broad consortium, coordinated by Denmark’s VIA University College, includes partners from Germany, Spain, Belgium, Albania, Slovakia, Estonia, and Sweden. PowerHUB serves as a proud representative of the Czech Republic and a key innovation partner.

2026: From Theory to Real Business

Following a successful launch in 2025, this year’s activities are shifting into intense practical application. Our support for students, entrepreneurs, and university staff rests on three main pillars:

  • Open Incubation: Intensive support for early-stage entrepreneurs, including expert mentoring, market validation assistance, prototype funding opportunities, and international networking.
  • Learn: Access to online courses and workshops designed to build core competencies in sustainability, along with the continued development of our educational “toolboxes”.
  • Regional Development: Actively connecting universities, startups, established companies, and innovation hubs to build functional European ecosystems for a greener economy.

Spring Milestone: International Meet-up in Tirana

One of the most anticipated upcoming events on this year’s agenda is the April project meet-up in Tirana, Albania, hosted by our local partner, Epoka University. The meeting will focus on defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the second phase, evaluating ongoing results, and integrating sustainability into existing incubation programs.

PowerHUB’s mission remains crystal clear for 2026: bringing our extensive venture-building expertise to the S4F project, assisting with the commercialization of sustainable technologies, and transforming promising academic ideas into viable companies that change the world for the better.
